Heads up: Wii News Channel available in all regions

For those with a Wii, waiting for new channels to open up via firmware updates, look no further. Twenty four hours ahead of schedule, the Wii News Channel has gone live, worldwide. The only requirement to access the news channel is to update the firmware on the Wii, which takes two simple clicks from the Wii main menu.

From the initial reactions, the news channel is looking to be a fantastic addition, merging the forecast channel`s globe system with a google news style bite-sized article format. This is great news for gamers in Japan who have US Wiis, or those with Japanese Wiis looking to browse news back in english speaking countries. The news isn`t centered only in the country the Wii resides in, and instead gives owners a global perspective.

Go home and update that firmware, and let HDRL what you think of the Wii News channel!
